Countertop Miami – What You Can Expect?

A countertop is a range of horizontal work surfaces that may be installed on a wide variety of holding furniture, such as tables, booths and cabinets. Though widely popular in kitchens in Miami and dining rooms for their ability to provide a clean, solid surface to work on, countertop is also making inroads to furniture in the living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms in Miami.
Countertops Miami are also very popular in workrooms of craftsmen or in garages where work tools or crafting tools may be placed on them. Because of the very wide range of applications and settings of the general countertops, they are offered in a wide variety of materials to suit the home owner.
The most common of all materials used to develop countertop Miami is natural stone. These include a wide range of stones including granite, marble, limestone, slate and soapstone. Granite and Marble are the most popular as they provide a high end look and feel as well as last for a very long time. Natural stone is generally selected in slabs by the home owner and then the fabricator or installer cuts the slab into shape for final installation of the countertop in Miami. Natural stone countertops go well in almost all settings from the kitchen cabinet countertops to bathroomcountertops.
Another popular form of countertop material in Miami is wood. Because of its rich dark oaken hue wood has always been a choice of furniture material. Wooden countertops are highly favored for indoor countertops like bar counters in the living room or dining countertop.
Metals are also widely used as countertop material in the Miami region. Stainless steel, copper, aluminum and zinc are popularly used. While metals are not generally seen as high end decorative materials they provide a very stable, corrosion resistant and lasting work surface. Metal countertops are widely used in Miami for commercial applications like industrial workshops, kitchens, workrooms etc. They are also much less expensive than stone and are very scratch resistant.
Composite and plastic materials like vinyl, laminates and phenolic resins have been steadily gaining popularity as countertop materials in Miami and its surrounding region over the last decade. Laminates are polymer substances that are made of polyester acrylic or acrylic plastic materials. These are relatively cheaper materials that serve as countertops in offices around Miami as desk surfaces or cabinet countertops for placing fixtures such as television sets, projectors and other office appliances. Moreover, the laminates are both easy to maintain and easy to replace while at the same time being good looking to serve office purposes.
Apart from these there are some exotic materials which are widely sought as countertop materials in Miami for their exquisite looks. These are crafted glass, engineered quartz, and engineered bamboo.
